Construction of a water treatment plant in Nora village, Oyam District and a re-enforced reservoir at Custom Corner in Gulu.
This is being implemented under phase 2 of the IPILC project. It is being funded by the German Development Corporation through KfW and being undertaken by Sogea – Satom Construction Company Limited under the supervision of Fichtner Water & Transportation.
The commencement date was fixed for the 1st August 2022. Before this date, and following the ground breaking in March, the contractor has delivered some equipment and containers intended for site offices. Some works on preparing the foundations of the site offices are on-going.
In addition, mobilization of materials such as reinforcement bars, batching plant, storage containers, fully equipped materials’ laboratory etc. has commenced. Earth works and casting foundations for the batching plant are also in progress.
